We all know our place in the Triple Helix Model. The Model is used to describe the connection between the interests from the academic world, the public sector and industry in a region. Joint interest is not always enough to get new initiatives off the ground and the regional activity and success in the cross-section between these three said stakeholders also depends on operational power. New models and practises to describe and stimulate the “lifting power” have been introduced. MIT and Fraunhofer demonstrate the impact of their entrepreneurship programmes.
